Flora of U.S. and Europe Scrapbook - Detail View

This scrapbook contains many pressed flowers and plants preserved by Rev. Olof Nelson Glim (1865-1949).  There are approximately one hundred samples, with many accompanied by poetic or Biblical verses pertaining to plants written underneath.  A majority of the verses are in Swedish or English, with a few in other languages such as Hebrew.

O.N. Glim was born in Sweden and emigrated to the U.S. in 1882.  He was a student at Augustana between 1886 and 1900, attending first the Preparatory Department, then the College, and finally the Seminary.
